Overview.
This online privacy policy describes how we use and protect the information you share with us while visiting Encover's website ("Site") that enables us to personally identify you. This statement does not address the data management practices and polices of Encover, Inc., applicable to the operation and use of Encover's solution-related sites. By visiting this Site you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use or access our Site.
What This Privacy Policy Covers.
This policy covers how Encover treats personal information that Encover collects and receives. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Encover does not own or control, or to people that Encover does not employ or manage.
Information Collection.
Encover may collect personal information when you request information from us, when you register for a web seminar (webinar) or broadcast meeting, and when you request to be added to our mailing list of upcoming events and news. We may collect other information including your title, telephone number, department/position, employer, as well as the contents of your questions and/or comments.
Uses of Information.
Encover uses personal information to provide you with information about our company, products and services, or to register you for the webinar or broadcast meeting you requested, and for internal tracking purposes, such as measuring attendance at webinars and broadcast meetings. In addition, we may use your personal information, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the Site to: resolve disputes; troubleshoot problems; help promote safe exchange of information; collect fees owed; inform you about online and offline offers, products, services, and updates; customize your experience; detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity; enforce our Terms of Use; and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection. At times, we may look across multiple users to identify problems or resolve disputes, and in particular we may examine your personal information to identify users using multiple user IDs or aliases. We may compare and review your personal information for errors, omissions and for accuracy.
You agree that we may use personal information about you to analyze site usage and effectiveness, improve our content and product offerings, and customize the Site's content, layout, and services. You agree that we may aggregate (i.e. gather up data across some or all users) your personal information with the personal information of other users of the Site to analyze Site usage patterns and capture information about the user population.
You agree that we may use your personal information to contact you and deliver administrative notices, product offerings, and communications relevant to your use of the Site.
Information Sharing.
Encover does not share any information that identifies you personally with any third party except if: (a) we have your consent to share the information; (b) we need to share your information to provide a product or service you have requested; (c) we need to send the information to companies who work on our behalf to provide a product or service to you (unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us); or (d) we respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process.
Log Files.
As is true of most Web Sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. Encover uses this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the Site, to track users' movements around the Site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.
Cookies.
We may use data collection devices such as "cookies" on certain pages of the Site to help analyze our web page flow, measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety. "Cookies" are small files placed on your hard drive that assist us in providing our services. Encover offers certain features that are only available through the use of a "cookie". We also use cookies to allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session. Standing alone, cookies do not identify you personally. They merely recognize your browser. You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, although in that case you may not be able to use certain features on the Site and you may be required to reenter your password more frequently during a session.
Cookies come in two flavors: session and persistent-based. Session cookies exist only during an online session. They disappear from your computer when you close your browser software or turn off your computer. Persistent cookies remain on your computer after you've closed your browser or turned off your computer. They include such information as a unique identifier for your browser.
Encover uses session cookies containing encrypted information to allow the system to uniquely identify you while you are logged in. This information allows Encover to process your online transactions and requests. Session cookies help us make sure you are who you say you are after you've logged in and are required in order to use the Encover application. Encover uses persistent cookies, that only Encover can read and use, to identify the fact that you are a Encover customer or prior Site visitor (whatever the case may be). We are especially careful about the security and confidentiality of the information stored in persistent cookies.
Opting Out.
You may opt-out of receiving Encover newsletters or other email communications from us by sending an email to optout@encover.com. In addition, each email communication includes instructions on how to unsubscribe.
Security.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us, and so we urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet.
Business Transitions.
In the event Encover goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personally identifiable information will likely be among the assets transferred. You will be notified via notice on our Web Site for 30 days of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
Changes in this Privacy Policy.
We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the amended terms on the Site. All amended terms shall automatically be effective 30 days after they are initially posted on the Site. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our home page.
